August ‘12. Don’t really remember this morning, but chances are it would have been single digits being the middle of winter. For example, still in July now and was a brisk 6d on my run this morning! Anyways, I digress. This is North West Arm, part of the Port Hacking River. This bend at low tide is a kids mud flat playground and a lovely swim spot at high tide. Mid tide is great in the morning to capture the texture of the sandstone & sand banks along with the water and potential sunrise colour. The colour version of this pic was okay, but smashed it with b&w with the reflection punching through. And if you’ve managed to stay with me all this way, I will give you a personal tidbit. I love basketball and played for many years. Choose to follow the NBA (long time Miami fan, way before the formation of the big 3. Even before Shaq arrived 😜) As the b’ball in Australia just doesn’t compare… Well that’s all for today. Thursday here, can begin to see the wkend over the next hill!!

July ‘12. Almost 12mths to the day. Early starts for my longboard club are especially hard in the winter months, quite cold standing around the beach in the morning. But with a good crew and warm BBQ (bacon & eggs every month!) you tend to overlook it. This one was in the carpark, nice that one of the guys unknowingly posed for this morning silhouette πŸ˜ƒ

June ‘12. Was getting back into early runs about this time as my then 6mth daughter was kinda sleeping through (they never really do 😜). Started taking the phone on said runs and this is why. Sunrise over North West Arm

May ‘12. A gorgeous autumn day at the park. This one really grabbed me as my beautiful daughter (now 2.5) was only 1.5 here and so much more of a little kiddy than she is today. Love being a dad and I love my kids to bits.

April ‘12. Autumn in full swing. A typically deceiving autumn pic, plenty of sunshine and green leaves. But probably quite cold. Hope you’re all enjoying my reminiscing through last year…

March ‘12. Many of my long term followers may remember this view. I used to drive to work for a while back then and this was my view every night. So when I timed it right, I’d have one hand out the window clicking blindly on the phone. Would snap over 20 pics per bridge cross. Survival rate of those pics taken was probably 1%. Here’s one that survived and is being revived πŸ˜ƒ

This here is Feb ‘12. Not much that day to speak of. But the day break certainly made up for that
